The Cowboys have agreed to a one-year deal with defensive end Sam Williams, keeping the 27-year-old in Dallas after he completed his rookie contract. Williams appeared in all 17 games during the 2025 season, starting five, and finished with 37 tackles, seven tackles for loss, and one sack. The Cowboys originally selected him in the second round of the 2022 NFL Draft after a standout final season at Ole Miss.
Williams also made notable contributions on special teams, blocking a field goal against the Detroit Lions and a punt against the Arizona Cardinals that rolled into the end zone for a touchdown recovered by Marshawn Kneeland.
