After a turbulent 2025 season, the Dallas Cowboys are looking to return with a complete roster. With the NFL Draft approaching, Jerry Jones has already begun shaping the team’s direction. There’s now more clarity on how Dallas plans to recalibrate and contend in the coming season.

In the early 1970s, the Dallas Cowboys didn’t just dominate the gridiron; they occupied the same shelf space as Captain America and Spider-Man. It was the time when 7-Eleven launched a promotion featuring collectible Slurpee cups. While one side featured the iconic art of Marvel superheroes like Iron Man and The Incredible Hulk, the other side was dedicated to the superstars of the NFL.
Standing tall among the ‘’Earth's Mightiest Heroes’ was our very own Chuck Howley.
He was the backbone of the "Doomsday Defense." He remains the only player in NFL history to win Super Bowl MVP while playing for the losing team (Super Bowl V), and by 1972, he finally had his ring after the Cowboys' dominant victory in Super Bowl VI.
For kids in North Texas, the ultimate Saturday morning mission was riding a bike to the local 7-Eleven to see if they could snag the "Howley Cup." Today, these plastic cups are prized relics for Cowboys historians and those diehard fans out there.
