For the past 60 years in the Super Bowl, former Cowboys linebacker Chuck Howley remains the only player to win the MVP honors even though he was on the losing side. The game took place in 1971, and the Baltimore Colts defeated the Cowboys 16-13.

However, Howley was a "diamond in the rough" with a dominant performance. But since his team lost, Howley was devastated and didn’t accept the award.
