The Dallas Cowboys are bringing in Scott Symons as their inside linebackers coach. Symons spent the past four seasons at SMU, serving as defensive coordinator and safeties coach and earning Broyles Award nominations in each of the last three years. In 2024, he helped guide SMU to its first College Football Playoff appearance. Under his leadership, SMU’s defense ranked among the nation’s best in turnovers, red zone defense, interceptions, rushing defense and sacks this past season.
