The 2026 annual league meeting gave the green light to several major rule change proposals. At the same time, the NFL commissioner and other prominent owners backed another significant motion to boost revenue. However, that move hasn’t sat well with one of the league’s most vocal critics, Mark Cuban. In response, Cowboys owner Jerry Jones provided his two cents on his perspective.

CeeDee Lamb initially hesitated to wear the No. 88 jersey. Lamb publicly announced on the draft night in 2020 that he intended to wear No. 10. Jerry Jones himself encouraged Lamb to take No. 88 to honor his late friend and Arkansas teammate, Jerry Lamb, who wore the number and passed away in 2019.
Jones also wanted to continue the storied tradition of elite Dallas receivers, including Drew Pearson, Michael Irvin, and Dez Bryant, carrying the "88" mantle.
