As Dak Prescott reportedly faces a difficult situation, things in Dallas are far from settled. The Cowboys have placed a second-round tender worth $5.76 million on kicker Brandon Aubrey and offensive lineman T.J. Bass.
Both Aubrey and Bass are restricted free agents, meaning they have three accrued seasons and their contracts have expired. They can still negotiate with other teams in free agency, but Dallas has the right to match any offer they receive. If the Cowboys choose not to match a deal, the team that signs either player would have to send Dallas a second-round pick.
