DeMarcus Lawrence was tagged in 2018 and 2019, while Dak Prescott received the tag in 2020 and 2021, each in consecutive seasons. Both players eventually agreed to new deals, with Prescott signing his extension just one day after receiving his second tag in 2021. The most recent player to be tagged was tight end Dalton Schultz in 2022.
