NFL to Discipline Pickens After Cowboys Loss

September 22, 2025 | Edition #56
👋 Howdy, Cowboys Nation!
Sunday was a rough one for Dallas. The Bears carved up the Cowboys’ defense all half, scoring on nearly every drive and forcing Dallas into a 24-14 hole at the break. CeeDee Lamb’s early injury left George Pickens as the only real threat, and the secondary never recovered. Turnovers and blown assignments sealed a 31-14 loss that exposed a defense worse than the 2020 Mike Nolan era. Let’s unpack the post-game thoughts.

Cowboys Get Blown Out as Williams Dominates
The Cowboys got embarrassed, 31-14, as CeeDee Lamb went down early with an ankle injury. Dak Prescott and the offense couldn’t get anything going in the red zone, the defense gave up big plays, and turnovers killed any chance of a comeback. It was ugly.
Meanwhile, Caleb Williams put the Cowboys’ defense on blast with four touchdowns and a 142.6 passer rating. Javonte Williams ran hard, Jake Ferguson caught plenty, and Joe Milton even got a cameo. Dallas falls to 1-2, and if they don’t fix this mess fast, Week 4 against the Packers (and Micah) could get very, very long.
